Feb. 8th, 2018 09:27 pmWe went out on a bike ride at lunch.
I'm pretty sure the wind was above 50mph. On the way out, we were struggling to make forwards progress, by which I mean, I was pushing nearly as hard as I could and riding 5 miles an hour.
On the way back, on the same section, I was averaging 45 miles an hour, with stints over 50, on flat ground.
It was kind of fun, but it was also kind of scary. If you wreck at 50mph when you're wearing, well, a small amount of lycra, ugggh. I can imagine that too vividly. Maybe this is middle age.
