Today was not what I was hoping for.
But nobody died, and it's pretty unlikely there are even going to be any lawsuits.
The mold that I baked totally fell apart when I touched it today. Apparently cooling to ambient was too much stress. (But I got to see the inside and verify that it had entirely cleared.) So, next time, two hour burnout, and one hour in I start the furnace, so that I can pour into a hot mold.
This week: tomorrow at 8 am I take my car in for the delayed-for-four-years airbag recall, wherein the airbag may randomly deploy at any time spraying shards of metal through the interior of the car. Wednesday at 5 am I take my friend Russ to surgery to repair a broken humerus. I desperately need to have an entire work project done by Wed.
Mostly I want to go to the mountains where it isn't hot and sleep until the world is better.
