It goes from tick tock tick tock to lubdub-lubdub-lubdub. For some reason this totally freaks out one of the companies working with the chip. I gotta say that I'd find that disturbing if I was depending on it having a stable clock... especially if there's no way to tell it's switched modes.
I'm characterizing operation over a five-dimensional space, which is going to be fun to try to visualize. How many inputs and how many outputs? 2+3 or 3+2 are straightforward to visualize, 2+3 especially.
