I feel like this is every year, but: today was bike-to-work day in the rest of the US, and was snow-like-crazy day here. This is why we have our bike-to-work day in mid-June.

Ours is 5/17 here in Indiana. maybe later than the rest of the country for similar reasons, though this week has been a rainy mess rather than snow.

Ok, I get it, it's not the worst place to be. It sounds like a great place to visit (I even lived there when I was a baby, but was too young to remember it), but still too chilly for me to want to stay. Around here, 70 F in January isn't uncommon.

I hope you hadn't planted out your tomatoes before the snow? I am cautious and had not. I had planted and moved out* fuchsias, but covering them was enough.
