Coworker/manager and another coworker who used to be my manager and I went on a lunchtime ride. I needed, desperately, to change the front tire on my bike as it was nothing but whispers and fragments. That took me a bit longer than I anticipated, as it's a fancy kevlar racing tire, and they take special effort to get seated correctly. So the others took off with me saying I'd catch up.
Of course, that meant they did everything they could to keep me from catching up.
They did in fact succeed.
Afterwards my manager said "I'm noticing this weird thing: after I ride hard, when I stand up I get really dizzy." I'm all "you've noticed that I sometimes faint when I stand up? Like, all the way down on the floor faint?" He's all "oh, yeah, but I didn't know what that was about."
He is pleased to have low blood pressure, probably for the first time since he was in his early twenties.
